Terms of Service

Last updated: 18 July 2026

Overview

Welcome to Hanora.

The terms “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Hanora. Hanora operates this online store and website, including its related information, content, features, products and services, referred to in these Terms as the “Services”.

Our store is powered by Shopify, which enables us to provide the Services to you.

These Terms of Service, together with the policies referred to in them, explain your rights and responsibilities when you access our website or purchase from us.

By visiting, interacting with or using the Services, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any rights you have under applicable consumer law.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you should not use the Services.

1. Eligibility and customer accounts

You must be legally capable of entering into a contract to place an order through the Services.

When using the Services, you may be asked to provide information including your name, email address, billing details, shipping address and payment information.

You agree that the information you provide will be accurate, current and complete.

Where you use a customer account, you are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and authentication details. You must not misuse, sell or transfer your account to another person.

2. Products and product information

We make reasonable efforts to describe and display our products accurately.

However, colours and appearance may vary slightly depending on your device, screen settings, lighting and photography. As many Hanora pieces are assembled by hand, minor differences in positioning, finish or appearance may also occur.

These minor differences do not affect your statutory rights where a product is faulty, damaged, unsafe or not as described.

Product descriptions, prices and availability may be updated from time to time. We may discontinue products or limit the quantity available for purchase.

All products are subject to availability.

3. Jewellery care and materials

Product materials and relevant care information will be stated on the applicable product page.

Our current jewellery may include stainless-steel components with gold plating and decorative charms. Gold plating can naturally wear or fade over time, particularly when exposed to water, perfume, cosmetics, chemicals, perspiration or friction.

Customers should follow the care instructions provided with the product or displayed on our website.

Normal wear resulting from use, storage or failure to follow reasonable care instructions is not necessarily a product fault. This does not affect your statutory rights where the item was faulty, damaged or not as described when supplied.

4. Orders and formation of contract

When you submit an order, you are making an offer to purchase the products in your basket.

After you place an order, you may receive an automatic acknowledgement confirming that we have received it. This acknowledgement does not necessarily mean that the order has been accepted.

A contract is formed when we confirm that your order has been accepted or dispatched.

We may decline or cancel an order where, for example:

  • A product is unavailable
  • Payment cannot be authorised
  • The price or product information contains an obvious error
  • We reasonably suspect fraud or misuse
  • Delivery is not available to the address provided
  • The order exceeds an applicable purchase limit

If we cancel an order after payment has been taken, we will refund the amount paid.

Please check your order details carefully before submitting them. Cancellation and return rights are explained in our Return and Refund Policy.

Products purchased through our store are intended for personal use unless we agree otherwise in writing.

5. Prices and payment

All prices are displayed in euro unless otherwise stated.

The price charged will be the price shown at checkout when your order is placed.

Hanora is not currently registered for VAT. Accordingly, VAT is not separately charged or represented as being included in our prices.

Delivery charges will be shown separately at checkout before you complete your order.

We currently deliver only to locations made available at checkout. Any delivery restrictions will be shown before purchase.

You agree to provide accurate payment and billing information and confirm that you are authorised to use the selected payment method.

Payment services are provided through Shopify and its supported payment providers. We do not receive or store your complete payment-card number.

6. Promotions and discount codes

Promotions, discount codes and special offers may be subject to additional terms, including:

  • Eligibility requirements
  • Minimum spending requirements
  • Expiry dates
  • Product exclusions
  • Usage limits

Unless stated otherwise, discount codes cannot be combined.

We may withdraw or correct a promotion where it contains an obvious mistake or is being misused. This does not affect orders already validly accepted unless permitted by law.

7. Shipping and delivery

Orders are delivered using An Post or another delivery provider stated by us.

Delivery times shown on our website or at checkout are estimates and may be affected by weekends, public holidays, carrier delays or events outside our reasonable control.

We will make reasonable efforts to dispatch orders within the stated processing time.

Unless another delivery period has been agreed, goods purchased online must generally be delivered within the period required by applicable consumer law. Irish guidance states that goods should normally be delivered within 30 days unless another time has been agreed.

Please ensure that your shipping address and Eircode are complete and accurate. Contact us promptly if you notice an error.

We remain responsible for the goods until they are delivered to you or to a person identified by you to receive them, except where you independently arrange a carrier that we did not offer.

If a parcel is lost, damaged or significantly delayed, contact us at hanorajewellery@gmail.com so that we can investigate and provide any remedy required by law.

8. Returns, cancellations and faulty products

Returns and order cancellations are governed by our Return and Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

For most online purchases, customers in Ireland and the European Union have a statutory right to cancel without giving a reason within 14 days after receiving the goods, subject to applicable exceptions.

Personalised or genuinely customised products may be excluded from change-of-mind cancellation rights where permitted by law.

Products must comply with applicable consumer law and must be as described, fit for their normal purpose and of the quality a consumer can reasonably expect.

Nothing in these Terms or our Return and Refund Policy limits your statutory rights regarding faulty, damaged, unsafe or incorrectly supplied goods.

9. Intellectual property

The content available through the Services, including Hanora’s branding, logo, product names, photographs, graphics, text, website design and original product presentation, is owned by or licensed to Hanora unless otherwise stated.

You may access and use the Services for personal, non-commercial purposes.

You must not, without our prior written permission:

  • Reproduce or republish substantial portions of our website
  • Use our photographs or branding for commercial purposes
  • Copy or imitate our original website content or product presentation
  • Remove copyright, trademark or ownership notices
  • Use our intellectual property in a way that suggests an association with or endorsement by Hanora

Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of Hanora’s intellectual property to you.

Shopify’s names, logos and services remain the property of Shopify or its licensors.

10. Third-party services and optional tools

The Services may provide access to tools, payment methods, integrations or features operated by third parties.

Your use of those services may be subject to the provider’s own terms and privacy policy.

We are not responsible for third-party services outside our reasonable control. However, this does not exclude any responsibility that cannot legally be excluded, including our obligations relating to products you purchase directly from Hanora.

11. Third-party links

Our website may contain links to third-party websites or social-media platforms.

We do not control these third-party websites and are not responsible for their independent content, privacy practices or services.

You should review the relevant terms and privacy policies before entering into a transaction with a third party.

12. Relationship with Shopify

Hanora is powered by Shopify, which enables us to provide the Services.

Any purchase you make from our store is made directly from Hanora, not Shopify. Hanora is responsible for the products it sells, fulfilling accepted orders and complying with applicable consumer law.

Shopify provides the technology used to host and operate the store but is not the seller of Hanora products.

Nothing in this section affects any rights you may have against Hanora or another party under applicable law.

13. Privacy

Personal information collected through the Services is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Because our store is hosted by Shopify, Shopify processes information about your access to and use of the Services in order to provide, secure and improve its services.

Information may also be processed by payment, delivery, technology and other service providers as explained in our Privacy Policy.

14. Customer feedback and reviews

Where you voluntarily submit a review, photograph, comment or other feedback, you confirm that:

  • The content is truthful and based on your genuine experience
  • You own it or have permission to submit it
  • It does not infringe another person’s rights
  • It is not unlawful, threatening, abusive, defamatory or misleading
  • It does not contain malicious software

You grant Hanora a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to reproduce, display and use submitted feedback for operating and promoting the business.

We may moderate or remove content that breaches these Terms or applicable law.

We will disclose any paid or incentivised review where required.

15. Errors and inaccuracies

Occasionally, the Services may contain typographical mistakes, inaccurate descriptions, incorrect prices or availability errors.

We may correct an error and update the relevant information.

Where an obvious error affects an order, we may contact you to offer the correct information or cancel the order and issue a full refund.

Nothing in this section allows us to mislead customers or remove rights that have already arisen under consumer law.

16. Acceptable use

You must not use the Services:

  • For an unlawful or fraudulent purpose
  • To infringe intellectual-property or privacy rights
  • To harass, threaten or abuse another person
  • To submit false or misleading information
  • To introduce viruses, malicious code or harmful technology
  • To interfere with the security or operation of the Services
  • To collect another person’s information unlawfully
  • To send spam or unauthorised advertising
  • To attempt to gain unauthorised access to accounts, systems or data
  • To scrape or systematically extract website content for commercial use without permission

We may restrict access where we reasonably believe these Terms have been breached.

17. Availability of the website

We aim to keep the Services available and secure, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access.

The website may occasionally be unavailable because of maintenance, technical issues or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

We may change, suspend or discontinue website features where reasonably necessary.

This does not affect any accepted order or legal obligation already owed to you.

18. Our responsibility

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful.

In particular, nothing limits liability for:

  • Death or personal injury caused by negligence
  • Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
  • Breach of statutory consumer rights
  • Defective or unsafe products where liability cannot legally be excluded
  • Any other liability that cannot be limited by law

Subject to the above, Hanora is not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was formed, or for business losses suffered by a customer purchasing wholly for personal purposes.

Your statutory consumer rights remain unaffected.

19. Indemnity

You are responsible for losses reasonably caused to Hanora by your unlawful use of the Services or your deliberate and material breach of these Terms.

Nothing in this section requires a consumer to compensate Hanora beyond what is fair, proportionate and permitted by applicable law.

20. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful or unenforceable, that provision will be treated as modified to the minimum extent necessary or removed.

The remaining provisions will continue to apply.

21. No waiver

If we do not immediately enforce a provision of these Terms, this does not mean that we have waived the right to enforce it later.

22. Transfer of these Terms

You may not transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our written consent.

We may transfer our rights and obligations where the business is sold or reorganised, provided this does not reduce your statutory rights.

23. Governing law and disputes

These Terms and any contract between you and Hanora are governed by the laws of Ireland.

If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the European Union, you may also benefit from mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.

The Irish courts will have jurisdiction, subject to any rights you may have under applicable consumer law to bring proceedings elsewhere.

We encourage customers to contact us first so that we can try to resolve any issue directly.

24. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to our business, Services or legal obligations.

The latest version will be published on this page with an updated revision date.

Changes will not retrospectively reduce rights that arose under an order placed before the change took effect.
